# Import line items with AI

> Extract products, quantities, and prices from a file or pasted text and insert them as quote lines

**Build with AI** reads a customer request, such as a purchase list, a spreadsheet, a photo, or an email, and turns it into quote lines. Qwoty extracts the products, quantities, and prices, matches them with your catalog, and lets you review everything before inserting the lines.

## Prerequisites

* The quote is editable and has a currency (set by its pricebook)
* Your organisation has Qwoty AI credits left. Each analysis uses **10 credits**. You can check your balance in **Settings › Organisation › Billing** (**Qwoty AI Credit**)

## Import lines

**1. Open Build with AI**

In the **Quote** section of the editor, click **Build with AI**. The window "Ready to import your products?" opens.

**2. Add your source**

Use one or both of these inputs:

* **Add a file (image, CSV, PDF)**: drop or select a file. Accepted formats: `.jpg`, `.jpeg`, `.png`, `.webp`, `.txt`, `.csv`, `.pdf`
* **Add a text (email, csv, etc.)**: paste a table or an email excerpt. When you also add a file, the text is added as context for the AI

The file and the pasted text can't exceed **10 MB** combined.

**3. Analyze**

Click **Analyze with AI**. Qwoty reads the document and extracts the product lines.

**4. Review the extracted lines**

The **Extracted lines** table shows, for each line:

| Column | Description |
| - | - |
| **#** | Line number |
| **Extracted name** | The product name found in the source |
| **Match** | The catalog product matched to the line, or **No match** |
| **Score** | How confident the match is, or **Manual** if you chose the product |
| **Qty** | The extracted quantity |
| **Unit price excl. tax** | The extracted unit price |
| **Pricebook unit price** | The price of the matched product in the quote's pricebook |
| **Total excl. tax** | The line total |

Click a match to open **Select a product** and pick another catalog product. Adjust quantities and prices if needed.

**5. Insert the lines**

Click **Insert lines (n)**. Qwoty adds one-off products to a new product section and recurring products to a new plan section. Click **← Start over** instead to try with another source.

**6. Save**

Review the new sections and click **Save**.

## Troubleshooting

> **No rows have a catalog product linked**
>
> At least one line must be matched with a catalog product before you can insert. Pick a product in the **Match** column.

> **Cannot insert without a project currency**
>
> The quote has no currency. Check the quote's pricebook in the sidebar's **Settings** tab.

> **Analysis failed or insufficient credits**
>
> The analysis fails when your organisation has no AI credits left. An admin can buy credits in **Settings › Organisation › Billing**. If you have credits, try again with a clearer file or paste the content as text.
