# Subscription and seats

> Manage your Qwoty subscription, seats, AI credits, and billing details in Settings › Organisation › Billing.

Your Qwoty subscription is managed at the organisation level, in **Settings › Organisation › Billing**. From this page, you manage your subscription, your seats, your AI credits, and your billing details. Payments and invoices are handled in the Stripe customer portal.

## Open the Billing page

**1. Open Settings**

Click **Settings** in the main navigation.

**2. Open Billing**

In the **Organisation** section, click **Billing**.

The page has four cards: **Manage your plan**, **Manage billing detail**, **Seats**, and **Qwoty AI Credit**.

## Choose a subscription

If your organisation doesn't have a subscription yet, Qwoty shows **Choose your plan**. Switch between **Monthly** and **Yearly** to compare prices. Depending on the subscription, click:

* **Start trial** to start a free trial (the number of trial days is shown on the subscription),
* **Subscribe** to subscribe right away,
* **Contact us** for subscriptions with custom pricing.

Some subscriptions require a minimum number of seats.

## Manage your subscription

In the **Manage your plan** card, click **Manage** to view or upgrade your subscription in the Stripe portal.

Some features depend on your subscription. For example, creating several workspaces or using Product Configuration can require a higher subscription. When a feature isn't included, Qwoty shows a lock and an upgrade link.

## Manage billing detail

In the **Manage billing detail** card, click **Manage** to open the Stripe portal, where you manage your subscription, invoices, and payment preferences.

> If your subscription ends soon and no payment method is registered, Qwoty shows **Payment method required** with an **Add payment method** button. If your subscription becomes inactive, Qwoty shows "You need a subscription to use our platform". Click **Manage my subscription** to fix it.

## Seats

Each user uses one seat, based on their licence:

| Seat | Licence | Description |
| - | - | - |
| **Core seat** | `core` | Access to quoting, order, and contract tools |
| **Support seat** | `support` | Access to object management and the settings of the platform |
| **View-only seat** | `view_only` | Read-only access: users can't create, publish, edit, or delete anything |

The **Seats** card shows the seats used and available for Core and Support seats, and the number of View-only users.

### Change the number of seats

**1. Click Manage seat**

In the **Seats** card, click **Manage seat**. The **Manage seats** window opens.

**2. Set the number of seats**

Enter the number of seats you need in **Manage Core seats** and **Manage support seats**.

**3. Update**

Click **Update**. Qwoty redirects you to Stripe to confirm the change.

> If all seats of a licence are used, you can't invite a new user with that licence. Add seats first. See [Manage users](https://docs.qwoty.io/user-guide/settings/users/manage-users.md).

## Qwoty AI Credit

AI features such as **Build with AI** (importing quote lines from a file or text) use Qwoty AI credits. The **Qwoty AI Credit** card shows the **Credits left** for the month.

"If you reach your monthly limit, all usage-based features will pause until your credits reset or more are added." To add credits, click **Buy credits**.
