# Approvals and Workflows

> Require managerial approval on quotes that exceed your margin, total, or discount limits.

Approval workflows enforce your pricing governance before quotes reach customers. You define approval rules with conditions (for example, margin below 20% or total above 50,000) and one or more stages of named approvers. When a quote meets a rule's conditions, it must be approved before it can be shared.

In the left side menu, approval rules are under **Workflow** › **Approval**. The menu is visible only if your role has read access to **Workflow**.

>
> Qwoty workflows are approval rules. There is no generic automation engine (triggers and actions), and no escalation or reminder logic.
