Prerequisites
- A role with write access to Products & Pricing (for example, the system role
admin) - A catalog with products (see Create your first catalog)
Pricebook creation may depend on your plan. If New pricebook is disabled, hover it to see the plan message.
Open the pricebook list
In the left sidebar, click Products & pricing › Pricebook.Create your first pricebook

Start a new pricebook
Click New pricebook. The Create a new pricebook window opens.

Choose the pricebook type
Under Pricebook type, select:
- Fixed: fixed prices based on the linked catalog. Select a Catalog and a Currency.
- Dynamic: prices calculated automatically from a Base pricebook with an operation (for example, a multiplication). Create a fixed pricebook first.

Fill in general information
In General Information, enter a Name (for example,
Standard Pricing 2026) and, optionally, a Reference, a Category, and a Description.4
Review the configuration
The Configuration section shows the Pricebook Type, Linked Catalog, and Currency. You can also set a Default Tax applied to the prices. For a dynamic pricebook, set the Base Pricebook, the Operation type (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division), and its Parameter.

Set the prices
The Products section lists the products of the linked catalog. Open a row’s menu and click Edit to set the Pricing Model (Flat, Volume, Graduated, Percent, Cost Based, None) and the Amount.

Save the pricebook
Set Status to Active and click Save.
Make the pricebook available
A pricebook is offered on a quote only if it is associated with the quote’s template, customer, or customer segment.1
Add it to a template
Open Template, select your template, and add the pricebook in Products and prices › Pricebooks. Click Save.

Link it to a customer or segment (optional)
Open Customer › Customer (or Customer › Customer Segment), select a record, and add the pricebook in Linked Resources › Pricebooks. Click Save.
Configure the association resolution mode
The resolution mode decides which catalogs, pricebooks, contract models, payment terms, and payment methods are available on a quote when they are associated at several levels.1
Open the quote settings
Open your user menu, click Settings, then Workspace › Quote.

Choose the mode
In Association Resolution Mode, select a Resolution Mode and click Save.
- Inclusive: items from all levels are combined. If the customer has associated pricebooks, those from the segment and template remain available as well.
- Exclusive: only the items from the first configured level are available. If the customer has associated pricebooks, those from the segment and template are ignored.

The template selected in New project has no pricebook, so the quote can’t be created. Open the template and add at least one pricebook in Products and prices › Pricebooks. Also check that the pricebook is Active and uses the same catalog as the one selected on the quote.

This is Inclusive mode. To keep only the customer’s pricebooks, switch to Exclusive in Settings › Workspace › Quote.

Check your role permissions in Settings › Role and your plan. The standard pricebook can’t be deleted, and a pricebook used by editable quotes can’t be deleted either.
