API tokens let your own systems call the Qwoty API. Each token belongs to the workspace and has a Role, which determines what the token can do.
You need a role with the Developers settings permission to manage API tokens. See Permissions reference.

Open the API tokens page

1

Open Settings

Click Settings in the main navigation.
2

Open API Tokens

In the Developer section, click API Tokens.
The list shows each token with its Name, Token (only the first characters), Role, Last Used, and Created date.

Create a token

1

Click Create API Token

Click Create API Token at the top of the page.
2

Name the token

Enter a Token Name that helps you identify it, for example the name of the system that uses it. Names must be unique in the workspace.
3

Choose the role

Select the Role. “The role determines the permissions for this token.” Pick a role that only grants what the integration needs.
4

Create

Click Create Token.
5

Copy the token

Click Copy Token and store the token in a safe place, then click Close.
Qwoty shows the full token only once. After you close the window, you can’t display it again. If you lose it, delete the token and create a new one.

Delete a token

In the Actions column of the token, click Delete and confirm. Calls that use this token stop working immediately.

Use the token

Send the token in the Authorization header of your API calls. See Authentication for the details and examples.
API tokens can be added to teams, like users. See Manage teams.
