Most status changes happen on their own: requesting approval, sharing, and signing move the quote forward. When a deal changes course, you change the status yourself from the quote editor or the quote list.

Where to find the actions

  • In the quote editor: click More actions (⋮) at the right of the header
  • In the quote list: click the ⋯ menu at the end of the quote’s row
Only the actions allowed for the current status are shown.

Recall a quote

Use Recall to bring a quote back to Draft, for example to rework a published quote or to reopen a lost one.
  1. Click More actions (⋮) or the row’s ⋯ menu.
  2. Select Recall.
The quote is back in Draft. If it was published, your customer sees “Your quote has been unpublished” in the Dealroom and is told they’ll be notified when it’s republished. Share the quote again when it’s ready.

Mark a quote as lost

When the customer declines or chooses a competitor:
  1. Click More actions (⋮) or the row’s ⋯ menu.
  2. Select Set status to lost.
The status changes immediately; there’s no reason to enter. A lost quote can’t be shared or saved until you recall it.

Cancel a quote

When a quote is no longer relevant, for example a duplicate or a test:
  1. Click More actions (⋮) or the row’s ⋯ menu.
  2. Select Set status to canceled.
Canceled quotes are excluded from the Closing rate of the quote list.

Mark a quote as accepted

When the customer accepted the quote outside Qwoty, for example with a signed PDF:
1

Check the customer

The quote must have a customer. Otherwise the action is disabled with “The quote must have a customer to be marked as accepted”.
2

Accept the quote

Click More actions (⋮) or the row’s ⋯ menu, then Set status to accepted.
3

Confirm

In Confirm quote acceptance?, click Confirm.
Accepting is irreversible: the status can no longer be changed, and the quote can no longer be edited.

Delete a quote

If your role allows deleting quotes, the row’s ⋯ menu also has Delete. Type the quote number to confirm. Deleting destroys all of the quote’s data; it can’t be recovered and may affect your statistics.
